HOME NEWS
Mrs. Amy Ann Roe, whose death occurred at the family residence, No. 705 N. Burnett avenue, March 14, was an old and highly respected citizen of Denison.  Her husband, Thomas Roe, who passed away seven or eight years ago, was engaged in the grocery business on the corner of Burnett avenue and Walker street.  They were old settlers, coming to Denison from Missouri thirty years ago.
Mrs. Roe is survived by one daughter, Mrs. M.J. Rodes of California, where she has resided a number of years; one grandson and six granddaughters.
She had reached the ripe age of 86 years.  Since her husband's death, Barney Daniels, who is engaged in the grocery business at the site formerly occupied by Mr. Roe, has taken care of the old lady.  He has been very kind to her all these years, providing for her every want as a dutiful son would for a mother, and she had every attention during her last illness.
The funeral services were conducted at the residence by Rev. Kincaid.
