Gloria Jean Newburn, 77, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, April 23, 2022 in Denison, Texas.
Jean was born September 1, 1944 in Bonham, Texas, daughter of Rayburn and Pauline Victory Sewell. She married the love of her life, James Newburn. Jean loved the Lord and was a member of Southside Baptist Church. She had a big heart and was always willing to help. She was a loving member, sister, and friend. Jean will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Jean leaves behind her beloved daughter, Katherine "Kathy" Newburn; son, James Newburn; brothers, Jams Sewell and Jackie Sewell, both of Hensley, Arkansas; sisters, Ruby Bernard of Sherman, Texas; Marie Johnson of Denison, Texas; and Patty Green of Sherman, Texas; half-sister, Martha Britt of Lincoln Park, Michigan; and brother, Rogert Worthington of Reading, Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Newburn; her parents; sisters, Peggy Haskins and Lynda Faye Perkins.
Funeral service for Mrs. Newburn were held Friday afternoon, May 6, 2022 at Fisher Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Keith Taylor officiating. Interment followed in Oakwood Cemetery in Denison. - - - Fisher Funeral Home
