Denison Section 8 Emma Schirmer 1919 - 1936 The Denison Press Wednesday, April 15, 1936 pg. 1 GIRL DIES OF TYPHOID FEVER AT HOME HERE Miss Emma Schirmer, 16, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Schirmer and a school student, died at 11:15 a.m. today at the family home, 723 East Heron street, from typhoid fever after an illness of seven weeks. Miss Schirmer was born December 5, 1919 in Denison, later attending the DeVoignes school. She was a member of the Lutheran church. When five years old, she moved with her family to the DeVoignes district where she lived five years, returning to Denison at the age of ten. Surviving are her parents; one brother, Christopher, of Denison; and one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Tucker, also of Denison; and a grandfather. Funeral services are yet incomplete, according to a report from Short-Murray, in charge, shortly after noon today. OAKWOOD CEMETERY
