B. Stinson, aged 84 years, died very suddenly at his home, 813 South
Crockett avenue, at 4 o'clock Friday afternoon. Mr. Stinson had been
camping at Randell Lake for several days and said he began feeling bad
early Friday morning. He came to his home here and shortly after 1
o'clock, a physician was called to see him. Just before his death he
...over a chair to the kitchen of his home and sat down near a fire and
his wife heard a noise in the kitchen soon afterward that attracted her
attention. Going to the room Mrs. Stinson found her husband gasping for
breath and he soon passed away without speaking to her or to neighbors
who had come in. The Denison Press Friday, December 9, 1949 pg.5 Funeral services were held at the Bratcher-Moore chapel, November 28 for Mrs. Dora Stinson, 96, who died at her home, 218 E. Heron street, after a brief illness. Rev. O.C. Bucy conducted the services and interment was in Oakwood Cemetery. She was born in Clarksville in 1853, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.F. Greiner. She was educated there and at Paris, Texas.and was married in 1872 to John B. Stinson, who died in 1918. She was a member of Trinity Methodist Church. Survivors include 2 sons, Roy Stinson of Ft. Worth and Arthur Stinson of Denison; a daughter, Mrs. F.J. Brigham of Denison; a brother, Otto Greiner of Terrell; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
