| ANOTHER PIONEER GONE Mrs. E.H. Weaver Died Yesterday at Her Home on Walker St.
Another
of Denison's pioneer citizens passed away yesterday in the death of
Mrs. E.H. Weaver at her home, No. 217 East Walker street, at 10 a.m.
She had been ill 25 days. The funeral was held from her
late home this afternoon at 2:30, the services being conducted by Rev.
G.P. Fry. The remains were laid to rest in Oakwood Cemetery. Mrs.
Weaver, formerly Miss Pamela Kelly, was born in Wabash Co., Indiana, 58
years ago. She was married there November 18, 1869 to E.H.
Weaver. They moved to Denison in 1877, where they have since
resided. To them were born 3 children. One died in
infance; the others, 2 sons, survive her. They are Frank E., of
this city, an H. & T.C.fireman; and V.L. Weaver, of Tonio,
Washington. The latter will not be here to attend the funeral. E.H.
Weaver, husband of the deceased, was away in Idaho all winter for the
benefit of his health, but was recalled 10 days ago on account of his
wife's illness. Mrs. Weaver joined the Methodist church in
girlhood, but had never united with the church here. She was a
member of the Rebekahs, under whose auspices the funeral was held this
afternoon.

Ed
Weaver, 84, formerly of Denison but a resident of Los Angeles for 18
years, died in that city Monday according to news received here.
He is survived by 2 sons, Frank and Vaise L. Weaver; 2
grandchildren, Mrs. E.A. Rodkey, Edmond, Oklahoma; and Mr. Hernian
Weaver of California. The body will be brought to the home of W.F.
Weaver, 220 East Morgan street, Saturday afternoon. Funeral
services will be held at the Weaver home Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock
with the I.O.O.F. Lodge, of which Mr. Weaver was a member, in charge.

Edward
H. Weaver (brother of J.W. Weaver) born in Ohio (Sept 12, 1844 - Nov 3,
1927) married Permillia A. Kelley (Dec 12, 1849 - April 8, 1905) on Nov
18, 1869 in Wabash Co, Ind. where they farmed before moving to Denison,
Texas in 1877. According to newspaper obit, Ed died at age 84 in Los
Angeles, California after living there 18 years. He probably moved
there after his wife died. Family stories say he and son, Frank E.,
went there for the gold rush. His body was returned to Texas with
funeral held at home of his nephew W.F. Weaver, 220 East Morgan
St. E.H. and P.A. are buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Denison,
Texas. There were 3 children according to obit:
(A) Frank E. (Jan 12, 1872 - July 3, 1962) buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Denison,Tx.
(B)
Valse L. married Lulu B. Farquhar in Lockhart,Tx. Lulu was the daughter
of Mrs. Genoa Pulliam of Luling,Tx. At time of his father’s death in
1927, V.L. was living in Tomio, Washington.
(C) Third child died in infancy
According
to Edward’s obit in 1927, he had two surviving grandchildren: Mrs. E.A.
Rodkey, the former Emma Weaver, (1914 graduate of Denison,Tx High
School) living in Edmond, OK; and Mr. Herman Weaver of California.
