The Sunday Gazetteer Sunday, March 12, 1899 pg. 4 Death of R.N. Culver News of the death of R.N. Culver at Paducah, Kentucky reached the city Wednesday afternoon. A telegraph to J.C. Culver, son of the deceased, stated that Mr. Culver was struck by a street car Wednesday morning and instantly killed. Mr. Culver has relatives and a host of friends and acquaintances who will be saddened to hear the news of his sudden death. R.N. Culver was a brother-in-law of Messrs. J.D. and W.T. Yocum, and father of J.C. and T. Culver, all of this city. Deceased has two other sons, residents of Kentucky. The remains were shipped from Paducah Wednesday night, and on arrival here were laid to rest in Oakwood Cemetery, beside those of his wife, who died several years ago, while the family resided here.
