Carrell 3 December 1855 - 15 April 1937 The Denison Press Thursday, April 15, 1937 pg. 1 James Henry Carrell Dies Thursday Morning James Henry Carrell, 81, residing for the past eighteen years at 928 Florence street, Cotton Mill, died at 10:50 Thursday morning. He had been ill for six weeks. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday from the home by Rev. J.F. Murrell. Interment will be at Oakwood with Short-Murray directing. Mr. Carrell was born December 12, 1855 in Arkansas, his parents Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Carrell. He was a textile worker. Survivng are sons, H.M. of Denison and D.R. of Glendale, Arizona. Brothers are S.R. of Banty, Oklahoma, R.L. of Beryn, Oklahoma and D.E. of Ogden, Texas. Effie F. Carrell 19 July 1909 - 27 July 1974 Henry M. Carrell 14 October 1897 - Opal Marie Carrell 18 October 1931 - 20 March 1938 The Denison Press Monday, March 21, 1938 pg. 1 CLOTHES CATCH FIRE; GIRL, 6, BURNS TO DEATH Burned on Body Friday Afternoon While Playing Near Fire; Dies Sunday Her clothes accidentally catching fire Friday afternoon while playing in a yard where trash was burning, little Opal Marie Carrell, 6-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.M. Carrell, 810 West Coffin street, died Sunday morning at 4 o'clock at a local hospital where she had been receiving treatment the last two days for her injuries. Shewas born October 18, 1931 in Denison and was a member of the Methodist Sunday School. Surviving are her parents and two sisters, Hazel Lorelle and Mildred Dolores Carrell of Denison. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 5 o'clock from the home with Rev. A.H. Logan, pastor of the Preston Harliss Chapel Methodist Church, officiating.
