The Denison Press Monday, March 13, 1939 RURAL RESIDENT 25 YEARS DIES John W. Harston, 72, a painter, retired farmer, and resident of route 1, Denison for twenty-five years, died at a local hospital where he had been a patient the past two weeks, Sunday at 2 p.m. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 4 o'clock from Short-Murray chapel followed by burial at Oakwood cemetery. Harston was born in Texas January 5, 1867. He married Miss Sarah Ingram here. He held the painting contract for Denison postoffice when it was being built and was a member of the Christian Science church. Surviving are two brothers, four sisters and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Martha Abbot of Denison. Mrs. Harston died December 13, 1932.  OAKWOOD CEMETERY
