R.L. Obenchain Dies After 6 Months Illness
Robert Lee Obenchain, 70 residing two and a half miles south of Denison near Woodlake, died Friday at 8:55 after an illness of six months.  Mr. Obenchain was a farmer and flour miller.
He was born August 16, 1864 in Virginia, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Obenchain and came to McKinney, Texas from Wisconsin at the age of nine and received his schooling here.  He has lived near Woodlake since 1924.  He married May 14, 1895.
Mr. Obenchain is survived by his widow; one brother, K.D. Obenchain of McKinney and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. from the Short-Murray chapel, Rev. F.B. Wheeler officiating.  Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery.

Funeral services were held at Bratcher-Moore chapel Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Hattie Obenchain, 80, of Willow Grove community, Route 3, who died Wednesday night at 430 W. Morton, Rev. Vernon Price, pastor of Sunnyside Baptist church officiating and interment was in Oakwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Obenchain was born in Milledgeville, Georgia, October 14, 1875, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.  William Wadsworth.  She attended schools in Tennessee and was married May 14, 1897 [sic] to R.L. Obenchain, who died  in 1934.
Mrs. Obenchain was a seamstress and had worked at different times in drapery departments of local furniture stores and in private homes.  She was a member of the Presbyterian church.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews; a brother, Joe Wadsworth, Hugo, Oklahoma; three sisters, Mrs. J.J. Lee, Denison; Mrs. Eva Bobwell, Frederick, Oklahoma; and Mrs. Maud Rambo, Hugo; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
