Mrs. Ida Wagner, 88, a resident of Denison 59 years, died Thursday morning at 11:45 at her home, 201 East Monterey street, following an illness of nine days.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday from the home with Rev. Hargrove Grounds officiating.  Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Short-Murray directing.  Pallbearers will be Jack Oram, Frank Oram, Charles Mehr, Raymond Bloomer, Buddy Wagner and Jack Coffey, all grandsons of the deceased.
Mrs. Wagner was born at Bloomington, Wisconsin in 1852, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Klegg.  She was reared and educated there and was married there to Richard Wagner, November 14, 1869.  After residing a period in Clay County, Texas, they came to Denison in 1881, Mr. Wagner accepting a railroad position here.  He later became Chief of Police here, a position he held for several years.  He died January 10, 1927.
Deceased was a member of the Ladies' Auxiliary to the Grand Army of the Republic in which she held an office and took an active part in its participations.
Surviving are two sons, Len Wagner of Tulsa and Clyde Wagner of Houston; three daughters, Mrs. Ollie Mehr of Houston, Mrs. W.A. Hamilton and Mrs. Herman Kachel of Denison; and two sisters, Miss Dora Klegg and Miss Edie Klegg, both of Bloomington, Wisconsin.
