 Denison  Section 4  Martha J. Carver 26 September 1863 - 22 April 1901 Age 37 Yrs. 6 Mos. 26 Ds The Sunday Gazetteer Sunday, April 28, 1901 pg.4 Mrs. George W. Carver, who was divorced by her husband a few weeks ago, committed suicide Monday by taking a dose of "rough on rats". This made two attempts at self-destruction. The deceased was 37 years of age. She and her husband have been residents of Denison for the past 20 years. She was married to Mr. Carver about 25 years ago. The marriage of Mr. Carver to Mrs. Mellen last Sunday is what impelled the divorced wife to shuffle off this mortal coll. Mrs. Carver was buried Tuesday at Oakwood Cemetery. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. W.B. Carnes of the Christian church. There were a great m zny expressions of sympathy for the dead woman and a large number were present to pay their last respects.  OAKWOOD CEMETERY
