Denison Section 4 The Denison Press Thursday, March 26, 1934 pg. 1 Joseph F. Kepler, 73, who lived at 504 West Day street since retiring as a farmer, died at 10:30 Thursday morning following an illness of only a few hours. Mr. Kepler was born March 4, 1863 in Illinois, his parents being Mr. and Mrs. J.S. Kepler. He was married at Wynnewood, Oklahoma December 22, 1889. He was connected with the Katy in the car repair department from 1912 until 1914 when he moved to Shawnee where he lived until returning here in 1924. While on his way to deliver a lunch to his son, S.J. Kepler, the father was stricken on Day street at Mirick avenue this morning. Surviving are two sons, S.J. of Denison and T.S. of Chandler, Oklahoma. A daughter, Mrs. P.L. Brown, lives at Colbert, Oklahoma. Also two brothers survive, J.S. Kepler, Dallas, and J.J. Friday, December 24, 1954 pg. 3 Funeral services for Mrs. Lucinda [sic] W. Kepler, 85, of 504 W. Day, were held at Bratcher-Moore chapel Friday afternoon with Rev. Bob Ramsey officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery with Bratcher-Moore in charge. Mrs. Kepler was born in Brunswick, June 23, 1869, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T.A. Sportsman. She was married in 1889 to Joseph F. Kepler. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors are 2 sons: S.J. Kepler, Colbert; and T.J. Kepler, Wilson, Oklahoma; daughter, Mrs. Jennie Lou Brown, Colbert; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Swartz J. Kepler 16 February 1900 - 5 April 1973 OAKWOOD CEMETERY
