The Denison Press Friday, March 19, 1954 pg. 8 Funeral services were held at Funderburk Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. Ada Linda Allen, 77, of 130 E. Walker, who died at her home Monday after 3 years of illness. Rev. Ronald Prince officiated and interment was in Oakridge Cemetery [sic] with Funderburk in charge. Pallbearers were Pat Riley, Ira Wright, Claud Fields, Cecil Smith, Doyle Ray, E. Tom Williams. Mrs. Allen was born in Emory, Texas, November 2, 1876, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin L. Williams. She attended school in Denison and was married here in 1895 to W.M. Allen [sic]. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist church. Survivors are 4 [sic] sons, Bert, Virgil, Rennie, Edgar, Elmo, all of Denison and Ollie of Ft. Worth; 2 daughters, Mrs. Mildred Thames of Bryan; and Mrs. Jewel Mathis of Dallas; 3 sisters, Mrs. Joan Wennigar and Mrs. Lela Williams of Denison; and Mrs. Charles Reasonover of Dallas; 17 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
