Denison Section 3 Forrest Pecor 22 March 1881 - 9 June 1881 s/o E.F. & May Pecor The Sunday Gazetteer Sunday, February 4, 1906 pg. 3 Captain Pecor The following additional particulars of the death of Captain E.F. Pecor have been handed into the Gazetteer office: Capt. E.F. Pecor died suddenly of heart failure at his home in Oklahoma City at 5 o'clock in the afternoon, 20th of January, 1906. He was not feeling well and was taking a nap. His wife leaned over him and spoke to him. He said, "Oh, I was sleeping so sweetly." She saw there was something the matter and called a doctor. He gave one sigh and passed away. Capt. E.F. Pecor was a confederate veteran from Richmond, Virginia. At the recent Confederate reunion in Oklahoma City he was made colonel of the staff. His remains were brought to Denison for interment in Oakwood cemetery. He was laid to rest by the side of his baby boy. Capt. Pecor was for a number of years a business man of Denison, being connected a portion of the time with the famous old Star store. He left here and went into business in Waco. OAKWOOD CEMETERY
