Tuesday, June 2, 1942 pg. 1 DEATH ROLL Following an illness of a year, Mrs. Clara Alice Stockton, 62, a resident of Denison but one week, died Monday at her home, 1515 E. Nelson. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock with E.J. Deckel officiating. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Short-Murray directing. Mrs. Stockton was born at Rodgers, Arkansas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Whitehouse, March 24 , 1897. She also received her education at that point and was married there. She was a member of the Pentecostal church. Surviving are 4 daughters, Mrs. L. Drumm and Mrs. Alta Wogers of Qualla, Oklahoma; Mrs. Mae Bassett of Denison; and Mrs. Charlette Johnson of Muskogee; a sister, Mrs. Stella Sumpter, Clarimore, Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
