Denison Section 3 Fleeta J. Kuykendall 1892 - 1969 Clem B. Kuykendall 1887 - 1952 The Denison Press Friday, April 25, 1952 pg. 1 C.B. KUYKENDALL KILLED INSTANTLY IN MOTOR CAR WRECK C.B. Kuykendall, 69, Frisco section foreman, of 519 N. Travis, was instantly killed Monday afternoon when the motor car he was riding with 4 other men, was derailed when it struck a dog near Platter, Oklahoma. Funeral services were held for Kuykendall Wednesday afternoon at Trinity Methodist Church with the pastor, Rev. W.O. Buey, officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery with Bratcher-Moore, funeral directors, in charge. The 4 other men on the motor car with the accident victim were uninjured. They were Gibson Brown, Willie Anderson, Doug Zable, and Will Fisher. The car was patrolling the track during a rainstorm and none of the passengers saw the dog on the track. Mr. Kuykendall's body was dragged about 60 feet. Kuykendall was born in Parker County, December 12, 1833 [sic]. He was educated in Parker and Fannin counties and was married in Ravia, Oklahoma in May 1912 to Miss Fleeta Caperton. They moved to Denison about 10 years ago. Survivors include his widow; one son, Thomas D. Kuykendall, San Francisco; six daughters, Mrs. Irene Moore, Englewood, California; Mrs. Ruth Moore, Ravia; Mrs. Jean Paschall and Mrs. Judith Black, both of Lava, Idaho; a brother, John Kuykendall, Wynnwood, Oklahoma; and 7 grandchildren. Mr. Kuykendall was a member of Trinight Methodist Church and the Woodmen of the World. OAKWOOD CEMETERY
