Denison Section 2 George B. Stevens 1891 - 1951 Ruby Stevens Gentry 1893 - 1989 June 7, 1951 GEORGE STEVENS DIES; RITES SET SATURDAY George B. Stevens, 60, a resident of Denison for the past 6 years, died in a local hospital at 4:16 p.m. Thursday after an illness of 3 weeks. A traveling salesman, Stevens resided at 520 East Day. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in Bratcher-Moore chapel with Rev. O.D. Reed, rector of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, officiating. Burial was in Oakwood. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruby Stevens; a sister, Mrs. Onalee Slack of Los Angeles; and a niece, Mrs. Mike Hagy of Allentown, Pennsylvania. Stevens was born August 29, 1890 in Plankington, South Dakota, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred L. Stevens. He received his schooling in Minneapolis and was married September 2, 1925 to Miss Ruby Price in Tecumshe, Nebraska. A veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion and Episcopal Church, Stevens resided in Alton, Illinois before moving to Denison. OAKWOOD CEMETERY
