Denison Section 2 Silas P. Manery 1900 - 1949 Pearl Manery 1912 - 1969 The Denison Press July 1, 1949 MRS. PAULINE MANERY Funeral services for Mrs. Pauline Manery, 73, who died at her home, 310 S. Perry avenue, Tuesday morning, were held at Bracher-Moore chaple Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock, with interment at Oakwood cemetery. Mrs. Manery was born in February 1876, in Tennessee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Levi Buckner. She was educated in Athens, Texas, and married in 1894 to John Manery. She lived in Whitewright before coming to Denison. Survivors include her husband; four sons, Silas, J.U., Pete and Joe Manery, all of Denison; four daughters, Mrs. Nettie Carpenter, Wichita Falls; Mrs. Johnnie Redmon, Mrs. Tom Stafford and Miss Nettie Manery of Denison; 22 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The Denison Press Friday, July 15, 1949 pg.2 Fueral services for Silas Manery, 48, of 925 W. Morgan, who died suddenly July 10 were held at Bratcher-Moore funeral chapel Tuesday afternoon at 3:30. Ronald Prince, minister of the First Baptist Church officiated at the burial service with Bratcher-Moore in charge of arrangements. Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery. Mr. Manery was born in Tennessee, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Manery. He was educated in Tennessee and was married in Denison in 1927 to Miss Pearl Mosier. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Mr. Manery was superintendent of the Denison Mattress Factory, where he had been employed for the past thirty-four years. He is survived by his widow; on daughter, Miss Billie June Manery; three brothers, J.U. Manery, Pete Manery and Joe Manery; four sisters, Miss Tillie Manery; Mrs. Johnnie Redmon and Mrs. Tom Stafford, all of Denison; and one sister, Mrs. Nettie Carpenter of Wichita Falls. The Denison Press Friday, February 9, 1951 pg. 4 Funeral services were held Friday, February 2, for John Manery, 78, retired farmer, who died Wednesday after a year's illness. Elza English officiated at the services held at Bratcher-Moore chapel. Interment was in Oakwood cemetery with Bratcher-Moore directors in charge. Mr. Manery had lived at 310 S. Perry for the past 37 years. He was born in Tennessee, March 12, 1872, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Manery. He was educated in Tennessee and was married in Athens in 1894 to Miss Pauline Buckner, deceased. They lived in Denison. He is survived by 3 sons, J.U. Manery, Pete Manery and Joe Manery, all of Denison; 4 daughters, Mrs. Mary Redmon, Mrs. Kate Staford and Mrs. Tildy Archer, all of Denison; and Mrs. Nettie Carpenter of Wichita Falls; a sister, Mrs. Alice Buckner, Tennessee; 22 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
