Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in Bratcher-Moore chapel for Homer E. Hammon, 53, of 1515 W. Bond, who died in a local hospital Sunday after 10 days of illness.  The Rev. E.A. Manley, pastor of First Assembly of God church, officiated and interment was in Oakwood Cemetery.
Mr. Hammon was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, September 12, 1898, the son of Mr. and Mrs. E.A. Hammon.  He was married at Antler, Indian Territory.  He had been employed as a barber for many years.  He lived in Linn, Oklahoma, before coming to Denison.  He was a member of the Round Up Club.
Survivors include two sons, Elmer of Fort Worth and Coyce of Galveston; a step-daughter, Mrs. Janice Mayton Collier, Clovis, New Mexico; three brothers, Dick and Jimmy of Tishomingo, and Sam of Modesta; and a foster brother, Pink Norwood, Ada; a sister, Litha Faye Cofffee, Modesta, and two grandchildren.
