Items of Local and General Interest Taken From the Columns of the Denison Gazetteer
Week Ending April 18, 1886

Died, in this city, April 13, after a lingering illness, Isaac Bray.  He had been in poor health over a year.  He was a member of the Grand Army of the Republic and was buried under their auspices.  He left a wife and 7 children....

LOCAL CONDENSATIONS
Wednesday - Mr. Isaac Bray died Tuesday night at 11:45; was buried today.  Tom Boldrick and Mangus Goode called at the Gazetteer office to arrange for the funeral notices of Mr. Bray.  Capt. Webster and H.F. Lawrence were notifying the G.A.R. to attend the funeral and burial of Comrade Bray....The Grand Army of the Republic was escorted to the residence of Mr. Bray by the Philharmonic band.
