DEATH OF DENISON MAN
Jake Corn, Locomotive Engineers' Brotherhood Chairman, Dies At Home
Special to The News

Denison, Texas, June 10 - Jake Corn, aged 53 years, general chairman of the grievance committee of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers on the Katy systerm, died at his home here shortly before 12 o'clock last night.  Funeral services were conducted at the family residence at 4 o'clock under the auspices of the engineers and burial was in Oakwood Cemetery.
Mr. Corn was stricken with apoplexy early Sunday morning, while Mrs. Corn was in Dallas on a visit.  When found by neighbors, he was lying on the bedroom floor unconscious.  Physicians were summoned and Mrs. Corn notified.  She reached Denison Monday morning.  Mr. Corn continued to sink and passed away shortly before midnight.
Mr. Corn had been prominent in the affairs of his organization many years, and was popular, not only with his fellow-workers, but officials of the Katy with whom he came in contact while adjusting differences between the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and the company.
