Fielder, 64, Katy engineer, died at the Katy Employees Hospital Christmas Day at 8:05 p.m. after eight months of illness. Funeral services were held at Johnson-Moore Chapel Sunday, December 28. Interment was at Oakwood Cemetery. The Rev. James Logan and the Rev. James Merriman officiated. Fielder was born at Ardmore in the Indian Territory, December 22, 1894, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Anderson Fielder. He worked for the Daily Ardmorite newspaper at Ardmore until coming to Denison to work for the Katy as a mechanic helper. He was promoted to fireman in 1913 and then to engineer in 1938. He was married in Norman, Oklahoma, March 31, 1932 to Alice Robinson. He served in World War I, and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. The Fielder home is at 314 W. Gandy. He is survived by his wfe and three daughters, Mrs. Saleeta Brink, Hereford, Texas; Mrs. Bessie Johnson and Mrs. Bertie Rowe, Ft. Worth, Texas. OAKWOOD CEMETERY
