Proskauer 9 December 1850 - 7 August 1911 The Sunday Gazetteer Sunday, August 13, 1911 pg. 4 Joe Proskauer, who has been in business here for a number of years, died Monday night after a lingering illness at his home on North Austin avenue. Joe was a renovator of hats and in that line acquired much business. Several month ago he went into the general merchandise business at 119 Main Street. He made and lost considerable money. Joe had his faults but at heart he was a pretty good man. His wife survives, who has been a faithful companion and worked very hard to assist her husband. Mr. Proskauer was about 60 at the time of his death and was a Polander. He was a member of the Woodmen of the World.  OAKWOOD CEMETERY
