Acheson, was drowned Sunday morning in a tank near the city limits while attempting to swim across the body of water. With an uncle, Walter Fulce, they had gone swimming in the pool and the boy stated to his uncle that he was going to swim across the pool. About half way across he is thought to have been seized with cramps and called for help, soon going down after calling out. His uncle went into the water immediately after him, but was unable to handle him alone. Cecil Hamilton, who was called to the rescue, finally succeeded in getting the boy out and the Denison fire department was called. Efforts at recussitation failed. The lad was born in Calera, Oklahoma, October 29, 1933. Surviving are his parents; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Fulce, and a grandmother, Mrs. L.A. Sampson; and great-grandmother, Mrs. C.R. Boatman, all of Denison. OAKWOOD CEMETERY
