Denison, Texas SECTION 12 M.H. Leggett 1875 - 1958 The Denison Press Friday, May 7, 1958 pg. 3 Funeral services for Monroe H. Leggett, 82, of 100 E. Burrell, were held at Bratcher Chapel, Friday, February 28. Rev. Charles Hand officiated and interment was in Oakwood Cemetery with Bratcher in charge. Mr. Leggett died at his home Wednesday, February 26, after 2 months of illness. He had lived in Denison 35 years. He was born in Van Zandt County June 8, 1875 and had worked here as a laborer. He married in 1940 to Mrs. Viola Williams. He was a member of Central Baptist Church. Survivors are his widow; a son, Charlie Leggett, Sand Springs, Oklahoma; a daughter, Mrs. R.W. Allen, Dallas; and 6 grandchildren. OAKWOOD CEMETERY
