Gibson, 62, resident of Denison twenty-five years, died at 12:20 p.m. Wednesday at his home, 1501 West Crawford street following an illness of seven weeks. He was a resident of McKinney before coming here and was a member of the Assembly of God church. He was born at Van Alstyne January 8, 1876, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gibson and received his education at that point. He married Miss Sallie Boatman December 10, 1899 at Sherman, later moving to McKinney, where he resided until coming to Denison. He accepted employment with the Brooks Construction Company here as a laborer, a position he held until his recent illness. Surviving are his widow; four sons, W.P. Gibson of Dallas; J.C., Johnnie and Jack Gibson of Denison; two daughters, Mrs. Edith Brown of Denison and Mrs. Betsy Murr of Collinsville; also surviving are seven grandchildren. Funeral services will likely be held Thursday afternoon at 4 p.m. from Short-Murray Funeral chapel with Rev. P.A. Lewis officiating. Interment will be conducted at Oakwood Cemetery with Short-Murray funeral directors in charge. OAKWOOD CEMETERY
