The Houston Post Tuesday, December 27, 1910 pg. 8 GAY FESTOONS AND CREPE In Home of Engineer Cox, Killed in Accident at Greenville (Houston Post Special) Denison, Texas, December 26 - The funerals of J.T. Cox, engineer, and R.E. Henderson, fireman, who were killed yesterday morning at Greenville when their engine on the Missouri, Kansas and Texas turned over, were held this afternoon. The home of the dead engineer presented a scene of pathos seldom witnessed. The home was decorated for the Christmas festivities, and a Christmas tree with its gay festoons had been arranged for the children. The gleaming tinsel and tiny candles of the tree showing from one room, while the remains of the engineer were being taken into another, brought tears to the eyes of everyone who witnessed the scene. Christmas was the 5th anniversary of Engineer Cox's employment on the Katy. He is survived by a widow and 4 children. Fireman Henderson is survived by a mother, grandmother, and a brother and 2 sisters.
