Joseph A., the infant son of J.A. and C.R. Euper, aged about ten months, died on Thursday morning and was buried in the evening.  This is the first calamity that has ever visited the household of Mr. and Mrs. Euper.  The sorrowing parents have the sympathy of the entire community in this, their great bereavement.
We sometimes think that death is almost as great a boon as life.  The little infant that has been snatched away by the ruthless hand of death will enjoy immortal life in a world of bliss and escape the sorrow and vexations of this life, which at the best, is only a sorrowing journey from the cradle to the grave.

We regret to learn that the little girl of Mr. and Mrs. C.R. Euper is lying at the point of death.  The attending physician informs the News that its death may be expected at any moment.

Laura, the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Euper died Sunday afternoon a few minutes after 3 o'clock.  This is the second time this household has been visited by the angel, Death.  Hardly had the sod grown green over the grave of their first born until they were called to mourn the loss of the second.  The bereaved father and mother have our sincere sympathies.  Fate has been unkind and their cup is full of sorrow.
The funeral took place yesterday afternoon and was attended by a large concourse of sympathizing friends.
"Ere sin could blight or sorrow fade
Death came with friendly care;
The opening bud to heaven conveyed;
And bade it blossom there."
