Kitty Belle Hanke Goodhue 1910 - 1988 The Denison Press Friday, August 6, 1937 pg. 1 DEATH CLOSES LIFE CAREER OF EDWARD HANKE Edward H. Hanke, 67, who was...with the Katy for 43 years, and who helped organized the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen in Texas and who was secretary of the legislative board for several years before retiring in 1932, died at 8:35 Thursday night. He had been in ill health for a year. Death came at his home 502 E. Washington street. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Friday from the Short-Murray chapel with Rev. B.F. Hearn officiating. Interment will be at Oakwood with Short-Murray directing. The B. of R.T. will have charge at the grave. Mr. Hanke was born February 28, 1868 at La Grange, Texas, his parents being Mr. and Mrs. Anton Hanke. His schooling was received at that point. He married Miss Nannie Kincaid June 2, 1908 in Bonham. Surviving are his widow; two sons, Fred, Denison, and Ed of Bonham; daughters are Mrs. Glen Starner, Bonham, and Miss Virginia Henke of Denison and one grandchild. OAKWOOD CEMETERY
