DUCKWORTH DIES FOLLOWING SHORT ILLNESS Following an illness of eight day, Roander B. Duckworth, local contrator here for several years, died at a Sherman hospital following a stroke of paralysis suffered Monday. For some time he made his home with one of his daughters, Mrs. T.E. Steen, 631 West Sears Street, He came to Denison in 1900 from Bonham where he had for a number of years farmed. He had been active as a builder and contractor here and had been in good health up until recent years. Deceased was born in Fannin County, November 6, 1859, his parents being Mr. and Mrs. Jim Duckworth. At the age of 21 he was married to Miss Hattie Midever and to the union one son and two daughters were born who survive. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 4 o'clock for the Short-Murray chapel. Interment will be made in Oakwood with Woodmen of the World and Short-Murray in charge. Rev. Gerald Miller, pastor of First Christian Church will conduct funeral services. Surviving are one son, E.P. Duckworth, Dallas, and two daughters, Mrs. T.E. Steen and Mrs. J. Riley, both of this city. Also a brother, S.S. Duckworth of Whitesboro. OAKWOOD CEMETERY
