Brown, 60, employee of W.J. Smith Wood Preserving Company, were held at Bratcher Funeral Chapel Thursday May 16. The Rev. B.H. Tucker, Dallas, officiated and interment was in Oakwood Cemetery with Bratcher in charge. Mr. Brown died in a Wichita Falls hospital May 13 at 10:15 a.m. after 13 months of illness. He had been in the hospital six weeks. His home was on Rt. 1, Denison where he had lived for 35 years. Born May 15, 1896, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Brown, he was married in Travis, Texas, November 26, 1916 to Betty Cook. He lived in Marlin before coming to Denison. He was a Baptist. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. N.E. Brown, Rt. 1, Denison; a daughter, Mrs. C.A. McAlister, Odessa; four brothers, Will and Pat Brown, Riesel, Texas; Bud Brown of Fort Stockton and Jessie Brown of San Diego, California; four sisters, Mrs. Birdie Warnett, Marlin; Mrs. A.J. Cook, San Diego; Mrs. Pearl York and Mrs. Minnie York of Meridian and four grandchildren. OAKWOOD CEMETERY
