Tommy Joe Harris 20 August 1950 - 28 March 2006 The Denison Press Friday, September 2, 1955 pg. 10 DEATH ROLL Waymon W. Harris, 50, resident of Denison for thirty years, died at a local hospital Wednesday, August 24, after a month of illness. He was buried in Oakwood Cemetery following funeral services in Bratcher-Moore chapel Saturday morning. Rev. Earnest L. Potter, pastor of Calvary Baptist church, and Rev. Bruce Hibbitt, pastor of Mt. Pleasant Baptist, officiated. Harris was a salesman for Burl Pie company. He was born in Georbia December 3, 1905, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Will Harris. He was married April 12, 1925 in Denison to Ruby Belle Stucky. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. His home is at 318 W. Morgan. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruby Stucky Harris; his mother, Mrs. Will Harris, Wichita Falls; four sons, Waymon Jr., Dallas; Bobby L, in the US Army in Germany; James Edward and Tommy Joe, both of Denison; three daughters, Mrs. John R. Shone, Dallas; Nancy Ruth and Lynda Kay, Denison; three brothers, J.W., W.L. and Barney, all of Denison; and a half-brother, J.T, Barber of Tulsa; a sister, Mrs. Sam Benjamin of New Mexico; and three grandchildren.
