Denison Sunday Gazetteer Sunday, February 19, 1905 pg. 4 Miss Maude Jones, a very estimable young lady, died quite suddenly at the home of Mrs. M.E. McCarthy, No. 128 West Morton street, Wednesday morning of heart failure. Miss Jones had been ill since October last, suffering from dropsy and heart trouble. Three weeks ago she was brought in from her home in the country, in the residence of Mrs. McCarthy, for better medical attention, where she died, as above mentioned, of heart failure. While death was not unexpected at any time, it was very sudden as she had felt better for several days and just a moment before had spoken to Mrs. McCarthy and was ready for breakfast; Mrs. McCarthy just then entering the room saw that death had entered before her. Miss Maude had fallen asleep to waken no more on earth. Death was peaceful and painless. Miss Jones was twenty years and ten months old at the time of her death. The funeral services will be conducted at the home of Mrs. M.E. McCarthy, 128 W. Morton street, Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Kincade of the Baptist church. Interment will be made in Oakwood cemetery. OAKWOOD CEMETERY
