Denison The Denison Press Friday, September 16, 1949 MRS. MARTHA BELLE BELL Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Martha Belle Bell, widow of W.A. Bell at Bratcher-Moore chapel with interment in Oakwood cemetery. Rev. O.C. Bucy, pastor of Trinity Methodist Church, where Mrs. Bell was a member officiated. Mrs. Bell was born in Clinton County, Kentucky, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ezekial Rhodes. She received her schooling in Clinton and was married there to Mr. Bell in 1880. She had lived at 212 W. Acheson for 43 years. She had been ill for the past three years. Survivors are two sons, Clarence Bell, Denison, and W.E. Bell, Waco; two daughters, Mrs. Carl Foster, Sherman, and Mrs. A.H. Henderson, Denison; one brother Thad Rhodes, Trenton; two sisters, Mrs. Eliza Lindsay, Mineral Wells and Mrs. Ella Garner, Ector; twenty-two grandchildren; and twenty-two great-grandchildren. The Denison Press Friday, March 12, 1954 pg. 3 Funeral services were held at Bratcher-Moore chapel Saturday for William E. Bell, 67, of Waco, who died Thursday in the M.K.&T. Employes hospital after a year of illness. He had been in the hospital three weeks. Rev. Bob Ramsay and Rev. H.F. Crews officiated and interment was in Oakwood Cemetery. Bell was born in Clinton, Kentucky, June 1, 1886, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William A. Bell. He attended school in Trenton and Whitewright and was married in Denison in 1917 to Mattie Muriel Hampton. He had been employed as a brakeman for the Katy for 40 years. He was a member of the Baptist church, the Elks Club and the B. of R.T. Survivors include his wife and a daughter, Mrs. V.L. Carlisle, Waco; brother, C.E. Bell, Grand Prairie; two sisters, Mrs. A.H. Henderson, Denison; and Mrs. Carl Foster of Sherman; and two grandchildren. OAKWOOD CEMETERY
