 Denison   The Herald Democrat September 12, 2012 Denison - God called one of his most precious angels home, Mildred Gloria Wallace, 75, Friday, September 7, 2012 at Texoma Medical Center. Mrs. Wallace was born February 3, 1937 in Denison, Texas, the daughter of Leonard Wimberly and Inell McCollum. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and sang in the choir. Mrs. Wallace is survived by daughters, Gloria Ahmed and husband, Mohamed, of Dallas; Marion K. Wallace of Denison; and Dawn W. Steward Denison; grandchildren, Kyra Steward, Kaylon Steward, Whitney Wallace and Djibril Ahmed; great-grandchildren, Kaja, Kali, and Kyla; brother, Ira L. Wimberly of Houston; sister, Addie J. Armstrong of San Antonio. She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, John "Don" McCollum; sisters, Lillian Pitts, Marion Wimberly, and Estella Johnson. Funeral services were held Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Hopewell Baptist church with Rev. C.E. Evans officiating. Interment followed at Oakwood Cemetery, Denison. Pallbearers were Gary Wimberly, Brian Johnson, Charles Steward, Percy Steward, Orville Walker, and Dwight Van Zandt.   OAKWOOD CEMETERY
