Denison The Denison Press Tuesday, December 12, 1939 pg. 1 MRS. RENA SWANN DIES AT HOME HERE TODAY Mrs. Rena Swann, 50, passed away at her home here, 1711 W. Bond street, at 10:25 today after an illness of five weeks. She had been a resident of Denison for 9 years, coming from Oklahoma. She was born in Hill County, Texas, April 19, 1889, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Swindle, receiving her education in Fort Worth. She was married to W. Swann in Sherman January 4, 1905. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband; a son, Bill, of Denison; a daughter, Mrs. Bryson Thornton of Denison; three sisters, Mrs. E. Willingham of Ft. Worth; Mrs. Jess Martin of Sadler; and Mrs. A.C. Branhill of California; and 5 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday from the family home. Rev. Bruce Hibbitt officiating. Interment was at Oakwood Cemetery, Denison, funeral home directing. OAKWOOD CEMETERY
