Denison The Sunday Gazetteer Sunday, November 29, 1891 Conductor H. McGuire, who had charge of the gravel train operating from the gravel pit near Stringtown, Choctaw division, M., K. & T., was killed Thursday morning by the accidental discharge of his gun while out hunting. The train has headquarters here and on its last visit to the city McGuire carried out his shot gun with which to kill quail and chicken near the train during the hours of its loading and unloading. Thursday morning while out on the prairie a short distance from the track the gun was accidentally discharged, the load taking effect in his head, producing almost instant death. The body was brought to town and prepared for burial by Undertaker Harriman, and Friday was interred in Oakwood Cemetery. His parents reside in Pennsylvania. His home in Denison has been at Beck's Hotel for 2 years or more. OAKWOOD CEMETERY
