Denison The Sunday Gazetteer Sunday, May 24, 1903 pg. 4 OBITUARY It is with intense grief that we announce the sudden death of Miss Fannie Tyffe of 317 East Crawford street, Thursday, May 14, at 3 o'clock, of congestive chills after a short illness of three days. The deceased was born Nov. 9, 1879, and laid to rest in Oakwood cemetery Friday afternoon, May 15. The sad part to note was that the young lady was to be married in a few days to one of Denison's most popular young men, Mr. Dan Gross, who is now employed at Enid, O.T. A telegram sent him of her sudden illness brought the grieft-stricken groom-to-be to Denison as soon as possible, but the race to see his dying friend seemed a trifle too slow, and his bride-to-be was cold in death when he arrived. The many friends of Miss Tyffe and family, as well as those of Mr. Gross, wish to express their sincere sympathy through the columns of the Denison Gazetteer. OAKWOOD CEMETERY
