Denison Sunday Gazetteer Sunday, March 18, 1906 Just as the Gazetteer was going to press our attention was called to the following notice in the Dallas News: D.W. Smith, aged 56 years, died yesterday afternoon at 521 San Jacinto street. Interment was at 4 o'clock in the afternoon at Oakland [sic] cemetery. Mr. Smith was engaged in business in Denison a number of years. A few months ago he was stricken with paralysis at his home in South Carolina. A short time since he returned to Dallas, in hopes the change would be beneficial. Mr. Smith was a man highly esteemed by all who knew him. His wife is a noble woman, and through the many months of helplessness and suffering was his ministering angel. We extend to her our sincere sympathy. OAKWOOD CEMETERY
