Denison The Denison Press Monday, April 6, 1936 pg. 1 WALTER OVERTURF DIES AT SHERMAN HOSPITAL; BURIAL HERE MONDAY Walter F. Overturf, 46, and a resident of this city all his life, died at a Sherman hospital Sunday. Funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2:30 at the Short-Murray chapel, followed by interment at Oakwood, with Short-Murray directing. Mr. Overturf was born in this city March 18, 1888, his parents being residents of Denison since its early day. He had resided at 114 Chestnut for the past several years. His first wife was Miss Lena Amelia Paschall, of Sherman, who died in 1917. His second marriage was to Mrs. Willie May Waymire, who still survives. Besides his widow, two sons and a daughter are left. They are Walter F. and Earl C. of this city. Mrs. Margaret Gould lives in this city. Also three brothers and two sisters survive. They are Sam, Allen and Jess of this city and Mrs. Mary Corsie of Missouri and Mrs. Delta Alsup of El Dorado. Pall bearers are John Neff, Jeff Mitchell, Buck Henderson, John F. Landers, W.C. Bakers, Eddie Waymire. Rev. Floyd Akin, pastor of the Nazarene church will officiate. OAKWOOD CEMETERY
