Denison The Denison Daily Herald Thursday, July 11, 1878 ORDINANCE No. 1 An Ordinance to Protect the City Cemetery Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Denison: Section 1 - That any person or persons who shall commit a nuisance in or upon that certain lot or parcel of ground deeded to the city of Denison as a public cemetery s hall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof fined not less than 5 nor more than 25 dollars. Sec. 2 - That any person or persons who shall encamp in said Cemetery of drive horses, mules, cattle or swine into the same for the purpose of keeping them therein, or any person who shall, knowingly, permit any stock belonging to himself or herself to run or remain therein, or who shall be found cutting or injuring the trees in said Cemetery, or who shall throw trash or rubbish into said Cemetery shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upong conviction there shall be fines not less than 5 nor more than 25 dollars.
