BODY CUT IN TWO
Late Saturday evening a lad, some 8 years of age, son of Car Inspector Gregg at Bells was run over by a freight train and cut into 2 parts.
Definite particulars concerning the accident will never be known as no one was present.   It seems that the boy, with a few negro children, had been out near the track playing.   The children separated and some time afterward the body was found.  About that time a freight train was doing some switching in the Bells' yard and it is supposed that the lad was knocked down and run over as the train was backing.
His remains were prepared for burial and sent to Denison Sunday morning.   Sunday evening they were conveyed to the Oakridge Cemetery, 6 miles east of the city for interment, his parents having formerly resided in that community.
