Delia Evelyn Norman passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison after 99 years of extraordinary life.  Delia was born December 10, 1917, one of five children of Don William Bailey and Emmie Dea Rice Bailey.  She married Don Henry Wilburn March 30, 1934.  Henry passed away June 17, 1977.  She then married Woodrow Norman February 1, 1997 and he passed away January 6, 2008.  She was a proud mother of two sons, Lewis & Carl.  
Delia attended Shiloh School on E. Main St. & Denison High School at B. McDaniel in Denison.  She was very active in her children's schools, serving as president of Peabody PTA, holding several offices as president and received a Texas Life Membership and National Life Membership award.  Delia was also active in church work at Trinity Methodist Church Leadership.  She became a Christian and joined the church in 1942, holding several offices in United Methodist Woman Leadership for a number of years.  She was elected to the Board of Trustees and was the first woman to serve at Trinity Church as a Board Member & Trustee.  She served as a choir person for 4 years, a member of Trinity for 60 plus years, teacher for Sunday School, Bible school and Bible studies for United Methodist Women.  
She started working at Texoma Medical Center in 1983 as an Auxiliary Volunteer and received a plaque at the hospital for having served 9,000 hours.  She also worked election polls from 1950 to 1996 and was elected judge for several years.  Delia was also a very accomplished artist, seamstress, and craftsman until she lost her eye sight to Macular Degeneration in 2007.  
She is survived by her son, Carl E. Wilburn and daughter-in-law, Christa, of Bonsall, California; granddaughter, Sandra and Scott Mackinnon; great-grandchildren, Jessica, Lauren and Shawn, Escondido, California; grandson, Bryan Karl Wilburn, Brea, California; brother, Don William Bailey, Jr. and family of Irving, Texas; brother-in-law, A.J. and Wanda Wilburn and family of Richardson, Texas; brother-in-law, Donald K. Wilburn and family of Oklahoma; granddaughter, Kimberly Davis of Denison; great-granddaughter,  Johnice and Tywon Hull and great-great-grandchildren, Rebecca Hansley, Tyonna & Neva Hull, of Denison; great-grandson, Johnathon Hansley & great-great-grandchildren, Kiley Hansley & Libby.
She was preceded in death by granddaughter, Cynthia Ann Wilburn, who died December 1, 1979; and son, William Lewis Wilburn, who died October 1, 1999.
Services were a Celebration of Life at Oak Ridge Cemetery. - - - Bratcher Funeral Home.
