Winford Smith 31 October 1919 - 24 October 2014 Faye Smith 24 October 1923 - 7 December 1990 wed 20 November 1942 Edward Lewis Smith 19 December 1943 - 19 December 1943 Winford (A.D.) Smith, age 94 years, went home on October 24, 2014 to celebrate with his beloved wife, on her birthday. He was a devoted christian since the age of 32. He ran a construction and landscape business until his retirement. His most enjoyment was his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, whom he adored. He enjoyed building and working on Model A's, that was his main hobby. He was known by all of Texas & Oklahoma as the "Model A Man." He was born in Denison, Texas to Ules & Lethie Smith on October 31, 1919. We always called him our spook. Surviving are his son, Earl Smith & wife, Sheila, of Denison. Texas; daughter, Patsy Sinor & husband, Charles, of Kemp, Oklahoma. He had 8 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Faye Smith; son, Edward Lewis; 2 brothers; and 3 sisters. Funeral service was held Friday, October 31, 2014. 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lighthouse Church, Denison, Texas. Officiating was Pastor Raymond England. Interment followed at Oakridge Cemetery, Denison, Texas. Pallbearers were Chris Dotson, Dan Williams, Quinton Ellis, Justin Mounce, Dakata Mounce & Andy Harwood. Honorary pallbearers were Lucky Lockler, Tommy Whitley, Dennis Smith and David Tippitt. Arrangements were under the direction of American Funeral Service, Denison, Texas.
