  Carol E. Simpson 10 December 1949 - 8 August 2004  Richard Weldon "Doc" Simpson 60, of Denison, Texas passed away Saturday morning January 6, 2018 at his home with his family by his side. He was born September 5, 1957 in Denison, Texas to Albert Lee and Beatrice McAnally Simpson. He attended Denison schools and married Barbara Walters on March 15, 1991 in Denison. He was a car painter and mechanic. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Teddy, Carol and Gary Simpson; and sister, Melba Simpson. Surviving is his wife, Barbara Simpson; and children: Richard Anthony and Sally Simpson, all of the home Denison; sisters, Peggy Gatlin and husband, Kenny of Bells; Margaret Ames and husband, Dick; and Betty Worley, all of Denison; brothers, Willie Simpson and wife, Sharon, of Ambrose; Robert Simpson of Savoy; Chuck Simpson and wife, Cindy, of Denison; and Floyd Simpson and wife, Michelle, of Bells. A funeral service for Richard "Doc" Simpson was held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the Kemp Baptist Church in Kemp, Oklahoma, with Pastor Roger Speers officiating. Burial followed in the Oakridge Cemetery near Carpenters Bluff. Pallbearers were Otis Simpson, Gary Simpson, Kevin Harwell, Thad Walters, Kenneth Walters and Kevin Walters. Arrangements were entrusted to Cunningham Funeral Home in Colbert, Oklahoma.
