Tommy A. Shasteen, 83, of Denison, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Texas Health Presbyterian–WNJ Sherman, after a month-long illness.
Funeral services for Tommy were held Monday, July 22, 2013 at Mullican-Little Funeral Chapel in Bells with burial at Oak Ridge Cemetery, east of Denison with Rev, Darren Gilbert officiating. Those serving as pallbearers for Tommy were Zac Blount, Cole Kimberling, Jacob Pearson, Charlie Robertson, Garry Reese and Jordan Blount.

Tommy was born February 28, 1930 in Bee, Oklahoma, to parents, John Houston Shasteen and Thressa "Babe" (Adams) Shasteen. He married Billie Reese on June 20, 1954 in Kingston, Oklahoma; and they raised two daughters and a son. He was a Heavy Machine Operator for the Corp of Engineers and earned three Outstanding Performance Awards during his 25-year career. He also had a love for farming and ranching, was a member of Masonic Lodge 403 in Denison and served his country in the US Army.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Billie, of Denison; children, Kathy Shasteen Robertson and husband, Charlie, of Cherry Mound; Cheree Shasteen of Denison; and Clay Shasteen of Phoenix, Arizona; 5 grandchildren, Zachery Blount, Jessica Blount Pearson, Whittney Blount, Cole Kimberling, Kara Kimberling; and 5 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the T.A. Shasteen Loy Lake Scholarship Fund and can be mailed to 142 Arthur Rd. Denison, Texas 75021.
