The Herald Democrat November 26-28, 2010 DENISON - Graveside services for Ron "Captain Nasty" Gallia, 67, of Denison were held at 2 p.m. Monday, November 29, 2010, in Oakridge Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home. He died Wednesday, November 24, 2010, at his residence. Mr. Gallia was born July 11, 1943, in Dallas, the son of Alec A. and Wesley Morris Gallia. He was a graduate of the Dallas Independent School District. He married Rebecca Gilliam November 30, 1963, in Dallas. Mr. Gallia was a member of the Denison Police Department and retired as a captain. He received the department's Medal of Valor in 1985. He was a member of the Church of Christ and the United States Marine Reserve. Surviving are his wife, Rebecca Gallia of Denison; daughter, Amy Fairchild and husband, William A., of Irving; father, Alec Gallia of Dallas; and brother, Alec Gallia and wife, Bobbie, of Louisiana.
