  Pat Aldridge 13 November 1918 - 4 March 1989   Rebecca "Becky" Anne (Hixon) Aldridge 96 passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017 in Houston under hospice care after a serious fall. Funeral services were Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Waples United Methodist Church Chapel in Denison, Texas with visitation one hour before. Officiating was Cheryl Murphy. Burial followed at Oakridge Cemetery in Denison, Texas. Becky was born in Denison, Texas on Friday September 16, 1921, to Willard Randolph (Tom) Hixon and Gladys Marie Hixon. She graduated from Denison High School in 1938. She first worked for Babcock Brothers, then Perrin Air Force base where she met her husband Pat Aldridge from Houston, Texas and they married on October 1, 1943. They had two sons, Randolph Clay "Randy" Aldridge, DHS '62, Texas A&M '66 and also Edward Pat "Eddie Pat" Aldridge, DHS '68. Over her work life she worked at the Denison Chamber of Commerce, State National Bank, and the Denison Independent School District. Becky retired from Texas Power and Light Company, and then enjoyed a long retirement of over 30 years which included lots of traveling that she loved so much, and usually made time for some golf in her trips. She was a lifelong member of Waples Memorial Methodist church, was a member of the ladies Circle, and the Criterion Sunday School class. An avid golfer, she belonged to the Denison Rod and Gun club and was an active member of the Red River Ladies Golf Association for years. Becky was preceded in death by her husband Pat; and her son Randolph. She is survived by her son Eddie Pat and his wife, Kay, of Houston, Texas; and daughter-in-law, Carol Aldridge, of Dallas, Texas. Becky; 4 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Waples United Methodist Church, www.waplesumc.org, since they are from out of town and will have to travel in.
