Funeral services were held Thursday, November 16 for Mrs. Myrtle Dell Short, 31, who died Tuesday in a local hospital after 2 days of illness.  Rev. D.D. Donohoe conducted the services and burial was in Oakridge Cemetery.
Mrs. Short was born in Van Alstyne, June 28, 1919, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Bledsoe.  She received her schooling in Van Alstyne and was married in Sherman in 1942 to Raymond Short.  They resided in Van Alstyne before coming to Denison.  She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; 3 sons, Harold Eugene, Jerry Linn and Raymond Dell of Denison; a daughter, Ruby Virginia Short of Denison; 2 brothers, Ray Bledsoe of Sherman and Harold Bledsoe, U.S. Army; and a half-sister, Mrs. Ida Jane Hamilton of Gunter, Texas.

Raymond Short, 82, of Paris, died Monday, January 23, 1995 at McCuistion Regional Medical Center.
Services were held Wednesday afternoon, January 25, 1995 in Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dverle Archer officiating.   Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Denison, Texas.
Raymond Short was born April 24, n1912 in Van Alstyne, son of John Randall Short and Sarah Jane Melton.  He was retired from the City of Dallas and was a member of the Highway Full Gospel Church in Paris.
He was preceded in death by 2 children, Billie Charles Short and Harold Eugene Short; 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ruby Virginia Michael and husband, J.E., of Rt. 1, Paris; 2 sons, Raymond Dale Short of Denton and Jerry Lynn Short of Paris; 3 sisters: Edna McFatridge of Paris; Janie Loftis of Van Alstyne; and Alma Whitley of Sherman; 6 grandchildren: Danny & Patti Michael; Joel & Melissa Chipman; Lonnie Michael and James Dale Short; 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbeares were Danny, Ronny, Timothy, Lonnie Michael and Joel Chipman.
