Joann Ramsey, 69, of Denison was born October 17, 1951. She was called to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, September 30, 2021, following a long battle with cancer and its side effects. She is survived by her husband, Ronald Lynn Ramsey of Denison; her children: Gregory McAden and wife, Stacy, of Calera, Oklahoma; David Butcher of Denison; Lynn Ramsey and wife, Megan, of Winter Park, Florida; Jay Ramsey and wife, Amber, of Ft. Worth; Randi Williams and husband, Gary, of Cartwright, Oklahoma; Ryan Ramsey and wife, Siner, of McKinney; and Ross Ramsey and wife, Angie, of Haslet. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; brother, David McAden of College Station; and several loving cousins who have ministered to her during her illness. Immediate family members who preceded Joann in death include her parents, John Franklin and Lollie Mae McAden; and 2 brothers, James Franklin McAden of Pottsboro and Eddie Dean McAden of Denison. Joann was an amazing lady who fought a courageous fight against cancer, hardly ever complaining about the pain she was going through and the inconvenience of living with several medical devices she had to live with. She was a very loving person and that love was returned to her by anyone who knew her. She looked after the needs of others when she likely did not feel like doing it. In particular, she was a constant companion to her mother in her final years while living at The Homestead Nursing Home in Denison. Joann was also a resident of The Homestead for a short time before her illness required hospitalizations at Texoma Medical Center in Denison and Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman. Her last few weeks on Earth were spent at Nanaw's Place hospice care home in Denison. Joann shared with her brother, David, and Rev. Keith Taylor, Pastor Emeritus of Southside Baptist Church, that she had placed her faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Now that she is enjoying her eternal reunion with family members in the presence of God in Heaven, she would no doubt wish all of her surviving family members and friends to personally place their own faith in Jesus Christ and join her there when their time on Earth comes to an end. A Celebration of Life was held at Fisher Funeral Home on Saturday evening, October 2, 2021. Funeral services were conducted at Fisher Funeral Home Sunday afternoon, October 3, 2021, officiated by Rev. Keith Taylor. Burial followed at Oakridge Cemetery, Denison.
